Lord Buckley Live in Milwaukee - Bootleg (1950)

12:00 AM

We've all heard the legend(s) of Lord Buckley. The visual element is lost in this audio, but it's a better representation of his madcap brilliance than that found on his records. Can you imagine seeing Buckley perform in 1950? There was no other comedian performing something so offbeat at that time. Truly wild, original and abstract for 1950. Good fun.

We talk so much about it on this site, but seldom get a chance to see it. It's Gene Baylos in his prime. An odd combination of stepping on his own laughs, stock lines, and demented, abstract originality! The comic's comic at his height - Gene Baylos.
